Lightweight and comfortable to wear thanks to the soft rubberised
edges and padding on all surfaces which contact the body.
Fitting and removal is made easy by a locking front closure with a push
button release and the rear strut is adjustable to alter the angle of the brace
to suit different seating positions. Supplied with a harness system which fits
around the chest to keep the collar in position. The low profile design allows
for a greater range of head movement compared to other neck collars.

The Kart Neck Brace has been designed specifically for kart drivers with an over-the-suit fit that integrates perfectly
with the seat. It is CE tested and certified and is fully adjustable with front and rear upper tables. The brace is
designed to allow the forces during an accident to be reduced and transferred through the brace into the strong
muscles of the body rather than the small fragile bones in the neck.
• Hyperflexion: Extreme forward head movement
• Hyperextension: Extreme rearward head movement
• Lateral Hyperflexion: Extreme sideways head movement
• Axial loading: Compression of the spinal column due to the effect of force on the helmet
• Posterior hypertranslation: rearward movement of the head/helmet on the neck
The design idea behind the Leatt Brace is to bring the head to a controlled stop – this is achieved by providing a
padded rigid structure that acts as an alternate load path for neck forces. Helmet movements otherwise transmitted
from the helmet to skull and then to the neck, are re-directed from the helmet to the brace, then to other body
structures, all in a safe controlled way. The design prevents the helmet/head from projecting over the brace and
therefore prevents a fulcrum (pivot) action.
