KARTING RIB PROTECTORS
Bengio rib protectors are hand crafted in Italy using the highest
quality materials. Developed using input from World Champion
kart drivers to deliver a range of products which provide the
very best levels of performance, protection, and comfort for
kart racers of all levels. All protectors in the range include
an adjustable harness to keep it in the optimum position and

feature an adjustable Velcro® closure strap which is
elasticated to provide a close fit
with less breathing restriction.

1 • NEW AB1 Carbon
Developed to be the safest rib protector
available, the AB1 is based on the popular AB7
but constructed using autoclaved carbon fibre for
increased strength with reduced weight. A new
adaptive core allows for greater ability to adjust
to body movement, improving driver comfort.
Adjustable elasticated straps keep the protector in
position, and a patented closure system makes it
quicker and easier to put on and remove.

The best-selling Bengio rib protector is constructed using a triple layer
fibreglass outer shell for high resilience and impact protection with
resistance to splintering. Inner padding uses 8mm thick closed cell foam to
isolate the driver from high frequency vibrations for improved comfort. The
back area features 5mm thick foam with a soft perforated fabric to increase
breathability and reduce perspiration.

Developed specifically to comply with and exceed the requirements
of the FIA 8870-2018 homologation the AB7 provides unsurpassed
levels of protection and performance. Shaped for a better fit in the
driving position with elastic shoulder straps allowing for a wide
range of adjustability for any body type. The internal padding is made
from high shock absorbent foam that allows the dispersion of impact
energy and vibrations reducing fatigue and vastly reducing the risk
of injury. The lateral protection is integrated with new elements to
protect the sternum and back areas. This improves all around safety
where the whole torso area is protected with optimum comfort.

This elbow protector features shock absorbing padding to reduce injuries
when your elbow knocks the engine or radiator. Thin stretch sleeve material
