With the introduction of the latest FIA 8855-2021 approval, Sparco has a range of seats that meet
these extremely high safety specifications. The approval brings the older FIA 8855-1999, which has
been in place for the past 20+ years, up to a very similar standard to the very highest FIA 8862-2009
approval. The latest FIA 8855-2021 approval has an increased level of safety and strength from the
shell which is now capable of withstanding high-speed impacts of up to 42G, but at a fraction of the
cost of the higher FIA 8862-2009 approval, making it more affordable for the entry level teams
and drivers.
All FIA 8855-2021 approved seats are approved with specific mounts and come with a 10 year life.
The Specific mounts must be used to meet the FIA 8855-2021 approval.

The Matrix has been manufactured to the very latest FIA 8855-2021 approval, meaning it’s super
strong and can withstand high speed lateral impacts up to 42g. With a closed in wrap around head
restraint this seats primary design is for smaller cockpits such as GT cars. The seat features shock
absorbing foam around the headrest for additional protection along with safety net guides to aid
the fitting of said safety device. With high lateral support and a deep base the seat provides a
unique encapsulating ergonomic shape thanks to Sparco’s latest honeycomb matrix manufacturing
technology. The seat features a semi transparent back panel highlighting the technology. The seat
also features non slip fabric on the shoulder points aiding driver comfort and retention. Fully FHR
device compatible for use in professional motorsport. The Matrix features self extinguishing fabric
and is a perfect seat for cockpits with restricted internal space.

Updated for 2026 and manufactured to meet the latest FIA 8855-2021 approval for fibreglass
seats, this advanced, ultra strong lightweight model features a carbon fibre outer layer that offers
significant safety enhancements over the previous model, while also reducing weight by 3kg
compared to its predecessor.
Engineered for optimal performance, the high strength fibreglass shell delivers exceptional
comfort and impact protection from all angles. Shock absorbing foam around the headrest provides
additional safety, complemented by integrated safety net guides to assist with secure installation.
A low profile base cushion improves driver safety by positioning the legs deeper within the seat
frame, enhancing lateral support. Newly added memory foam padding further elevates comfort,
while non slip fabric at the shoulder points improves driver stability and retention.
Fully compatible with FHR (Frontal Head Restraint) devices, the Master Advanced seat is
upholstered in self extinguishing fabric and is ideally suited for cockpits with limited internal space,
such as those found in GT and Rally cars.
