12 • SMI Stepper Motor Memory Rev Counter
In an emergency the aircraft style safety switch cover
can shut off the ignition quickly from any angle with
just a quick hit, even with driving gloves on. The car
cannot be turned on accidentally, and they will never
shut off from vibration.
The SMI Memory rev counter includes a maximum RPM tell-tale along with
a 2 stage shift light enabling more effective gear changes. The stepper
motor internals allow for a more accurate reading through the whole rev
range displaying a non waving read out. The rev counter is also backlit.

The DLi is the next generation in recording tachometers. It records the
RPM 10 times a second up to a 1 hour period. Playback is at real time speed
and can be anything from a section of a lap to the entire race if required.
You can also pause and rewind to view a certain point again. Double speed
and 1/3 speed playback is also possible to see rapid RPM changes. This
detailed RPM playback coupled with the inbuilt digital timer allows you to
view your RPM at any point on the lap highlighting potential gearing issues
or if traction out of a certain corner is an issue plus many other benefits.
This lightweight and compact rev counter uses stepper motor technology
for needle stability and accuracy and a user settable 2 stage shift light. It
also features a user settable sequential shift light. Comes in a compact and
weatherproof case.
