The highest SAE specification petrol fuel hose currently available is designed
to accommodate E5, E10, and E85 Ethanol fuels. It is also compatible with
diesel, biofuel, ethanol, and oil. The exterior of the hose is constructed from
nitrile rubber, while the inner layer features a thin, flexible fluoro-elastomer,
which offers remarkable resistance to sour petrol as well as methanol and
ethanol additives. This fuel hose is engineered to function effectively with
contemporary fuels, and its anti-aging properties provide enhanced
protection against fuel leaks. Traditional hose types tend to degrade and fail
when exposed to Ethanol fuels, potentially leading to leaks that pose a fire
hazard and obstructing filters and pumps with debris. This hose effectively
mitigates such risks. The hose with 7.3m bore is commonly utilised in modern
engines and is particularly useful when retrofitting modern engines into
classic vehicles.
