The range has been designed to satisfy the needs in the
competition market, with a variety of customisation available
for all sections of the market.
The racing clutch covers are a one-piece aluminium design with lug drive,
this benefits from improved heat dissipation compared with more traditional
steel covers while also allowing dust from the fiction material to escape more
easily. The covers also benefit from a comparatively lower moment of inertia
when compared more traditional designs, improving engine responsiveness.
These covers are available in a range of diameters and are used with either
sintered, cerametallic or organic faced drive plates in 1 to 4 plate formats.

Designed for use with the Helix racing clutch range but also
interchangeable with drive plates from other clutch brands such as
AP Racing, Tilton and Quartermaster. Plates are available with a wide
range of splined centres to suit pretty much any application.
Sintered Drive Plates:
Rigid plates with a thin, low
inertia layer of a metallic
friction compound bonded
to both sides. The nature
of this construction
makes these plates
well suited to racing use.

Cerametallic (Paddle) Drive Plates: These plates have cerametallic
segments (pads) riveted to the drive plate. The friction material is
thicker than on the sintered plates, which allows for higher heat soak
capacity and heat dissipation. This makes them ideally suited to rally
use or for racing where longer clutch life is required. Available with
rigid or sprung centre and with 3, 4 or 6 pads
pads. Sprung centre options
have a more progressive engagement and ccushion the impact of
engagement on the driveline component
components.

Clutch Reconditioning Service
All Helix Autosport Clutches can be inspected and partially
repaired. Helix offers a free inspection service to ensure all
parts meet the required specification.
All Helix Drive Plates can either be re-padded or re-line.
Helix offer an 80% rebuild service on applicable clutch
covers, which can include a new pressure plate, diaphragm
spring and/or leg straps, this gives users sustainability and
reasonable cost per wear.
