Dual Core Heat Exchanger
• Dry Sump Tanks
These dry sump tanks are constructed from lightweight aluminium and consist of 3 pieces. These
can be disassembled for easy cleaning purposes. A dry sump tank has the purpose of de-aerating the
incoming oil to improve viscosity as well as maintaining a constant oil pressure even when the car is
subjected to high g-loads, preventing oil starvation. These tanks also feature anti-surge baffles to
protect the engine from harmful oil surges. The capacity of each tank listed below is the full capacity.
As these tanks work best when they are half full, the tank size is decided by the most oil that you are
likely to use for your engine, plus one third of the tank capacity. Inlet and output ports are tapped with
M22x1.5 threads. The 5” and 6.5” tank breathers are 1/2” BSP with adaptors
to 1/2” push on hose. 8.25” and 9.5” tanks have -16JIC ports and breather adaptors for the top ports to
3/4” push on hose.

Construction is similar to the C43 range
(item 8) except oil outlets are parallel not
on opposite sides. Heat transfer for the
twin core example is almost double the
C43-330. Currently available with oil side
connections in -8, -10, -12, -16 JIC and
waterside to take 28, 32, 35,38 and 45mm
bore hose. Available in 3 overall lengths

Twin 1/2” outlets which can be
adapted to fit on both sides of the
tank with the use of blanking plugs.
Tapped for 1/4” BSP. Fitted with
a unique breathable cap, sight
gauge and drain plug. Motorsport
UK regulations state that up to
2 litre cars require a 2 litre catch
tank (or 2 x 1 litre), and over 2 litre
cars require a 3 litre catch tank (or
at least 2 x 1.5 litres). Available in
anodised silver, red or blue alloy or
black powder coat.

These technically advanced laminarflow fluid to fluid heat exchangers
can be installed in main water cooling
circuit, or teed off, as in the heater
circuit. Their robust construction
protects from leakage in a crash
situation. They can be cleaned, valuable
after an engine blow up. Easily installed
where lack of space prevents use of
air-to-oil coolers.
