High performance and ergonomic rib protection designed to provide comfort,
support and protection. Slimline and lightweight in design the main body
features a multi layer construction for ultimate shock absorption with a soft
poly lining. Dual density laminated padding incorporating 3mm high density
padding in areas which contact the body provide high levels of comfort whilst
4mm EVA foam offers effective impact protection and reduced vibration.
A fibreglass core is used to disperse energy away from the impact point and
an advanced poly fabric outer protects against abrasion. A fully adjustable,
elasticated front strap with snap closure and adjustable shoulder straps
allow for a precise fit whilst additional rear Velcro® adjusters help refine
size adjustments. Perforated padding in the rear offers extra support and
breathability for increased comfort.

2 • AK-1 Kart Body Protector
A high performance kart body protection system designed to exceed the FIA 8870-2018 standard. The AK-1 is super
lightweight and comfortable to wear while providing exceptional levels of protection for the ribs, chest and back with
minimal seat clearance required. Ergonomically shaped for a close, comfortable fit with minimal obstruction and a
unique speed lace system which makes it easy to put on and adjust to fit. The rib protection area is constructed using a
lightweight carbon fibre thermoset for high impact protection with a soft touch comfort padding inner liner. The chest
and back protectors are made from high performance and light weight thermoplastic polymer with thermoformed
padding for comfort. Adjustable elastic shoulder straps provide a secure fit without restriction.

prevent hyper-flexion injuries in a crash. The profile promotes positive contact with the helmet
